Cookies on indianiva.com
What cookies are, which ones we use, and how to control them.
This Cookie Policy is a pre-launch version. The cookie banner (Complianz) automatically generates a detailed, live cookie list once configured. This page provides a human-readable summary. Once Complianz is fully set up and analytics tools are activated, this page will be updated with the live cookie inventory.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember things like your language preference, whether you have consented to certain features, and how you use the site. Some cookies are essential. Others are optional and require your consent under EU law.
How we ask for your consent
When you first visit indianiva.com, you will see a cookie consent banner (managed by the Complianz plugin) which asks you to either accept, reject, or customise non-essential cookies. Until you make a choice, only strictly necessary cookies are used.
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Categories of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function. They include things like security tokens, cookie consent records, and session identifiers. You cannot opt out of these because the site cannot work without them.
Examples: WordPress session cookies, Complianz consent record, Wordfence security token.
2. Analytics cookies (optional, with consent)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (via MonsterInsights) with IP anonymisation enabled. This helps us understand which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and how the site can be improved. We never identify individuals from this data.
3. Functional cookies (optional)
If we add embedded content from external services (e.g. YouTube saree-draping tutorials, Instagram feeds, Pinterest boards), those services may set their own cookies. You will be asked separately whether to accept embedded content.
4. Marketing cookies (only after shop launch)
Once the online shop launches in July 2027, we may introduce marketing cookies (Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Google Ads, etc.) to support advertising. These will only be set with your explicit consent through the cookie banner.
As of the pre-launch information stage, the only cookies active on indianiva.com are: WordPress session cookies, Complianz consent cookie, and (if you consent) Google Analytics 4.
How to control cookies
You have several ways to manage cookies:
— Use the cookie banner that appears when you first visit the site
— Click “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choices later
— Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies
— Use the Google Analytics Opt-Out add-on to disable analytics across all sites
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by external services we use. Each provider has its own privacy and cookie policy:
— Google Analytics: policies.google.com/privacy
— WordPress: wordpress.org/about/privacy
— Wordfence: wordfence.com/privacy-policy
More information
For a full breakdown of how we handle data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy. For our legal details, see the Impressum.
This Cookie Policy will be replaced or supplemented by Complianz’s auto-generated cookie list once configured. Before commercial launch, the policy must be reviewed in line with the final list of analytics and marketing tools activated on the site.
