Disclaimer
Liability, links, content accuracy, and partnership disclosures.
1. Content accuracy
The content on indianiva.com — including saree guides, fabric education, styling tips, and brand journey updates — is shared with care but provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind.
We are publicly sharing what we are learning as we build the brand. While we work to be accurate, factually correct, and culturally respectful, this is not professional textile, fashion, or styling advice. For specific decisions (such as which saree to wear to a wedding or how to care for a vintage heirloom), we encourage you to consult with qualified specialists.
If you spot an error or want to suggest a correction, please email info@indianiva.com — we appreciate the help.
2. No professional advice
Nothing on indianiva.com constitutes legal, financial, medical, business, or professional styling advice.
References to German consumer law, GDPR, customs rules, or VAT are based on publicly available information and our own research. They should not be relied upon as legal advice — always consult a qualified professional for your specific situation.
3. External links
indianiva.com contains links to external websites — for example legal generators (eRecht24.de), Google policies, partner suppliers, and educational resources.
We carefully select links that we believe are useful and trustworthy, but we do not control the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites. Once you leave indianiva.com, you are subject to the terms and privacy policies of the destination site.
If we discover that a linked site contains harmful, misleading, or illegal content, we will remove the link as soon as we become aware.
4. Paid content and brand collaborations
IndiaNiva may engage in paid collaborations with brands, suppliers, or service providers. We commit to full transparency:
— Every paid post, sponsored article, or affiliate link will be clearly marked with #ad, #Werbung, or #Anzeige as required under German competition law (§5a UWG).
— Sponsored content will state the collaborating brand and the nature of the partnership.
— Affiliate links will be disclosed at the point of recommendation.
— Editorial content remains independent — we will not write favourable reviews for products we don’t genuinely recommend, regardless of payment.
If you ever see a paid promotion on IndiaNiva without proper disclosure, please email info@indianiva.com — we will correct it immediately.
5. Tailor Directory disclaimer (launching late 2027)
The IndiaNiva Tailor Directory will list independent Indian tailors across Germany and Europe. Once live, please note:
— IndiaNiva does not directly employ, represent, or guarantee the work of listed tailors.
— Any business transaction (pricing, fitting, alterations, delivery) is strictly between you and the tailor.
— We mark listings as “Verified”, “Partner”, or “Listed” to indicate the level of verification we have done — but we cannot guarantee specific service outcomes or quality.
— We welcome reports of issues with listed tailors. Substantiated complaints may result in delisting.
6. Cultural sensitivity
IndiaNiva writes about Indian textiles, sarees, traditions, and weddings with respect and curiosity. We are aware that we are translating and explaining a deep, regional, and culturally significant tradition to readers in Germany and Europe.
If anything we publish feels inaccurate, oversimplified, or culturally tone-deaf, please email info@indianiva.com. We take this seriously and welcome correction.
7. Product photography and colour
Once our online shop launches in July 2027, we commit to honest product photography:
— Photos are taken in real natural light wherever possible.
— Colours are shown as accurately as digital screens allow. Note that different screens, lighting conditions, and devices may render colours slightly differently.
— We do not “beauty edit” or alter the appearance of sarees or models.
— Where small inconsistencies in handloom weaves are part of the saree’s character, we describe them honestly rather than hiding them.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by German law:
— IndiaNiva is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of this website or any information published on it.
— We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
— This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory German law.
9. Copyright
All content on indianiva.com — text, images, design, photography, and code — is the intellectual property of IndiaNiva (Valentine Pereira) unless otherwise stated. The duplication, modification, distribution, or any use beyond the scope of copyright law requires written permission.
You are welcome to share links to our pages on social media, and short excerpts may be quoted with attribution.
