A quiet promise
to bring India closer.
Premium Indian sarees and ethnic wear, made easier to understand, choose, and wear in Germany and Europe.
Why IndiaNiva exists
Indian sarees are some of the most beautiful garments in the world. A Banarasi silk, a soft chiffon, a heavy Kanjivaram — each one carries thousands of years of tradition, craft, and meaning.
But for women living in Germany and Europe, Indian wear can feel hard to access. Sizing is confusing. Fabrics are unfamiliar. There are very few trusted places to stitch a blouse or fix a saree fall. Shopping from India online means trusting photos that may not match reality, and accepting delivery delays, customs charges, and uncertain returns.
IndiaNiva is being built to fix that — one careful step at a time. Until our shop launches, we are publishing in-depth saree education across our blog library — fabric guides, draping tutorials, wardrobe frameworks, and the practical questions of wearing a saree in Europe.
Built from Munich
Valentine Pereira
Founder · Munich
IndiaNiva is built by Valentine Pereira, based in Munich, Germany.
The brand is being grown carefully — learning saree culture in detail, researching premium suppliers across Banaras, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh, growing a directory of trusted Indian tailors across Germany and Europe, and writing honest education for first-time buyers.
The early days of IndiaNiva are deliberately public. Rather than launching a polished shop overnight, the journey itself is part of the brand: the questions, the research, the visits, the things learned along the way. If you are joining now, you are joining at the beginning.
IndiaNiva is information-first. There is no online shop yet. There will be one — small, curated, and properly photographed — launching when we’re ready. The Tailor Directory is already live and growing.
Our principles
Teach before selling
You should never feel intimidated by Indian wear. Every product is paired with clear, beginner-friendly explanation — fabrics, occasions, drape, care. Read our saree guide and fabric guide as starting points.
Carefully, not randomly
A small collection, each piece chosen for fabric, finish, and occasion. Premium does not mean expensive for the sake of it. It means worth wearing.
Honest claims, real photos
What you see is what you receive. No misleading product images, no fake reviews, no superlative claims we cannot prove. See our ethical sourcing commitments.
For Germany and Europe
Shipping from Germany, returns that work for EU customers, GDPR-compliant data handling, and a live, growing tailor directory across major European cities.
Respect the craft
Indian textiles, occasions, and traditions are explained with care. We do not flatten or repackage Indian culture for a European market — we explain it, and we honour it.
Beyond sarees
IndiaNiva starts with premium sarees and ethnic wear. Over time, it may grow into a wider curated platform — including a future rental sub-line for occasion wear — guided by what our community asks for.
Where we are headed
The IndiaNiva journey unfolds in five careful phases. Each phase has a clear purpose and deliverables.
Phase 1 — Brand Foundation
Largely complete
Building the brand from scratch: name, identity, visual language, website, voice, and the legal foundation. Publishing the first wave of saree education across our blog library. Opening the waitlist for our upcoming shop launch. Setting up social accounts and brand voice across platforms.
Phase 2 — Tailor Directory and Audience Growth
In progress
Growing our community across Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other platforms with daily saree education content. Reaching out to and verifying real Indian tailors across European cities for the Tailor Directory. Collecting audience feedback to inform our first product collection. Researching premium saree suppliers across India in parallel.
Phase 3 — Ecommerce Launch
Upcoming
The IndiaNiva online shop opens with a small, curated first collection of 15–30 premium Indian sarees and ethnic wear pieces. Shipping from Germany. Soft launch, then expanding to Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Luxembourg within the first three months. Real customer orders begin.
Phase 4 — Growth and Partnerships
Future
Building partnerships with Indian wedding planners, photographers, mehendi and makeup artists, and Indian shops across Germany and Europe. First pop-up events in major cities. Expanded tailor directory coverage. Festival campaigns for Diwali and the Indian wedding season. Customer feedback drives the next chapter of the brand.
Phase 5 — IndiaNiva Occasion Rental
Long-term vision
A future rental sub-line for premium Indian occasion wear — premium sarees, lehengas, designer outfits, jewellery, and accessories — for weddings, parties, festivals, and cultural events in Germany and selected EU countries. A rental option for customers who want to wear something exceptional for one special event without committing to ownership. Built carefully, after the main shop has proven itself for 18–24 months.
